Lexie Handley joins the team after having spent time in Japan playing for the Denso Bright Pegasus to start 2023.
Japan isn’t the first overseas stop for Handley having played a year in Italy prior. During her time in Italy she won the Italian Cup Championship, the Italian National Championship, and the European Cup Championship.
Beginning her collegiate career at the University of Akron, Handley played a season with the Zips before transferring to Auburn where she graduated with a B.S. in Nutrition Science/Pre-Med and played three seasons with the Tigers before transferring to The Ohio State University where she was a standout on the diamond breaking the single season record for most complete games thrown, and breaking the single season strikeout record, a record that had stood for 15 years. She completed her M.S. in Sport Coaching at Ohio State in the Spring of ‘22.
