Alexa is excited to become a part of The Texas Smoke team and family, making her way down south from Akron, Ohio. She attended Kent State for two years before transferring down the road to University of Akron, joining the softball team as a Walk-On her junior year. She proceeded to be a key piece to the Zips rotation in her final two years with the program, even ranking amongst the top 50 in NCAA Softball pitchers in two categories, walks per game (1.1), and strike out to walk ratio (4.48).

DiFeo completed her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Education, in the Fall of 2021. She returned to finish out her eligibility with Akron, graduating in the Spring of 2023 with her Master’s in Business Administration.

Alexa is the daughter of Tabatha and Edward DiFeo, who was wrestler at Kent State University. She has two sisters, Abagail and Antoinette, and four brothers, Aaron, Alexander, Albert, and Andrew.

Her career highlights include:

  • Experience at NCAA Division I level in the U.S.

  • Struck out 56 batters in 56 innings (2022)

  • Started three of team’s five games in the fall 2022 season

  • In one game, had 11 strikeouts in four innings

  • Four-year varsity letter-winner in high school
