OU Softball: Three Sooners Selected in WPF Draft

Alex Storako, Haley Lee and Grace Lyons were all taken in Monday’s WPF Draft, and the program has now had 42 players drafted professionally all time.

A trio of current Oklahoma stars were taken in Monday night’s Women’s Professional Fastpitch draft.

Sooner pitcher Alex Storako was taken with the No. 1-overall pick by the Oklahoma City Spark, but she’s not the only OU player who could continue their softball career with the Spark.

The Spark then selected Haley Lee with the 13th pick in the draft.

Lee has fit right into the Sooners’ lineup this season after transferring from Texas A&M, pacing the team with 12 home runs in 2023.

She’s also third on the team with a .426 batting average, and has driven in 38 runs through OU’s first 40 games.

Grace Lyons was also selected in Monday’s draft.

The Texas Smoke, who will play in Austin, drafted Lyons with the No. 22-overall pick.
